Why cloud computing is the future?

Gone are the days when you had to spend a lot of money on buying servers. Even when you do that you are faced with two changes:

  1. What if you don’t get enough people visiting your website. Then you have wasted a lot of money on buying an expensive server.
  2. What if you receive too much traffic and your server cannot handle it.

Well most cloud solutions solves the first problem. Nowadays you can purchase a cloud server for under 10 USD.

However, you are still faced with the second problem. Of course, you can add more servers when the demands grows and have load balancer that will allocate the traffic accordingly. This will allow you to handle more traffic and allocate resources appropriately. The problem with this approach is that you don’t know when you might need to upgrade or buy new cloud servers. And there is another issue – you might not need all these servers during off-peak time.

You will end-up having a 24×7 server management team – which can be very expensive. Most small and medium scale companies won’t have the resources for this.

How Fly My Cloud can help?

Fly My Cloud offers a middleware where you host your application code and database. Based on the demand, we will scale your application automatically. This means when there are more people visiting your website, our middleware will automatically create more ‘mini servers’ in the cloud and balance the resources. Furthermore, these resources will be taken offline when the demand goes down. So you pay for what you use.

We also create these ‘mini servers’ close where your users are coming from. This reduces the latency.

How much does it cost?

Our auto-scaling plan starts at 149 USD (99 GBP). Please note that this is cost of using the platform. You pay separately for the use of resources that scaled according to the demand.

The good news is that our  auto-scaling plan comes with a free use policy. Most startups and small scale businesses won’t even have to pay anything more than the cost of using the platform as in most cases they won’t exceed the free quota limit.
